Idiot Cop
Chief: Officer's behavior at hospital 'very embarrassing'an excerpt:
DALLAS — Racing to see his dying mother-in-law at a Plano hospital, an NFL player found himself delayed by a Dallas officer as her life ebbed away. It's a story that has sparked outrage across North Texas and generated interest around the country.
Dallas police Chief David Kunkle faced reporters Thursday afternoon to express his embarrassment over the incident and to publicly apologize to the family. He said the officer involved failed to use common sense.
another excerpt:
The hospital twice sent nurses to try and get the officer to release Moats.
"We're blue-coding her for the third time," a nurse said on the police videotape.
A Plano police officer stopped to make a plea for the officer to let Moats go. "Hey, that's the nurse," the Plano officer said. "She says the mom is dying right now, and she wants to know if I can get him up there."
Finally, after a 20-minute delay, the officer ticketed Moats for running a red light.
By the time Moats made it up to the emergency room, his mother-in-law was dead.

Barney bad-ass cop, Can we apply common sense? He pulled into a hospital. Shouldn't that have given credibility into what he was trying to explain to you? You are obvoiusly in law enforcement for the wrong reason. You power hungry idiot. You give our honorable men whose mission is to protect and to serve a major disservice. Our honorable men and women of law enforcement who are in it for the purpose to protect and to serve do not deserve this disgrace. This poor family was losing a precious mother who cannot be replaced. Mr. Moats and his wife showed incredible restraint in the presence of this heartless display of self-importance you displayed. I hope and pray you will find forgiveness for the horrible transgression you did to this family. If this was your mother how would you react to some dumbass preventing you from sharing the last precious moment with her? I'm confident this is not a racial problem but rather a problem of abuse of power.
